Hey guys, I´d like to buy a new computer this week but can not really decide between 2 models.

PC1: 250€

-AMD Athlon II X4-640 Prozessor (3,0 GHz), Quad-Core
-4 GB RAM 1333 MHz
-0 GB Hard Drive
-No DVD Drive
-ATI Radeon HD5450 Grafik (1024 MB), HDMI, DVI DX11

PC2: 330€

- Intel® Pentium® Prozessor E6700 (2 x 3.20 GHz)
- 4096 MB DDR3 Speicher 1333 MHz
- 1000 GB Hard Drive
- 20x DVD Double Layer Brenner
- 1024 MB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 520 HDMI,DVI DX11
- Sockel 775 Intel® G41/ICH7

really hard to decide, also i wasnt sure about the processor.
people always are saying intel processors are so much better then AMD ones.

Personally I recommend checking reviews and information on each individual piece of hardware before you make any decisions. From impartial places, not websites that are tryinig to sell you the parts.

You may be able to get the best of both worlds if you order the parts separately and assemble the computer yourself, it can often save you a lot of money too and you end up with exactly what you wanted.

Pre-assembled package computers are usually a rip off one way or another, the ones that seem like a good deal usually are lacking in some way with inferior components, and the high-end ones that seem too expensive are exactly that; too expensive.

Well, the second one is definitely the better of the two, in my opinion, but we don't have all of the information.

Do you know the maximum RAM capacity? Sure, it has 4GB now, but what is its max? A max of 8GB is desirable.

I assume that the processor is a Pentium D. As far as I am aware, the only dual-core Pentium processors were Pentium Ds. They're pretty old, but they still do a decent job. I would recommend upgrading to one of the new Intel processors in the near future.

You probably will NOT need 1TB of storage, but hey, why not. Hard disk storage is so cheap nowadays.

I am personally a fan of the ATI Radeon HD series, but a GT520 is no joke either, so I don't think that you will have any issues there.

Basically, you want to make sure that your PC is upgradable in the next 2-4 years. If it isn't, then it isn't worth buying.
