Hey folks , we've started hosting dominations servers again for our revived gather at #soldat.domination @ Quakenet.net . Many of you have already played this kind of mod and it's pretty awesome and so much fun . We've basically re-opened the 4v4 domination gather which used to belong to Ichiro and Crescendo but it died back then so we've just brought it back!

If you're tired of CTF , HnS , SnS and want to try something new or even re-play this amazing mod , come meet us at #soldat.domination @Quakenet.net.

We have only europeans servers but since its hosted by Fryer (Sweden) even americans and south-americans don't have that bad of a ping :P . We will host Na server in the future as well too :3

The mappack consits of : dom_Affliction , Ash , Backflips , Bricks , Canti , Chernobyl , Crystal , Dreamone , Drought , Dusk , Equinox2 , Frost , Hill , Irost , Phoenix , StormRise , Vivid , Windmill , Zajacz .

We are accepting new maps as well so don't hesitate to send us your maps! 8)

I guess you have to make a template for each map where the points are?
Another solution to that would be to use the flags as points and just make them ungrabbable so long as its only 2 points, would make it much easier to make maps for this gamemode.

Right now it's actually about placing two deadly polygons as the domiantion points for the map. The first two polygons which are deadly will be considered to be the domination points. This isn't perfect though, as the way it checks collision is to check if the player has been hurt by the amount of damage dealth by a deadly polygon, so deadly polygons will not work. We used an already existing script made by Gizd for this, so we are not to blame for any bugs. ;)

I'm thinking about modifying the script to make it work in a better way, possibly using hurts flagger polygons and a custom collision detection code. I will not modify it to use the flags, since using polygons makes it possible to have a bigger collision area, and possibly extend the game mode to use more than two domination points for games with more players.

Hey guys , I've just wanted to say that we (admins of soldat.domination ) have been kinda busy these past weeks , but the bot is gonna get fixed and you''ll be able to replay. Seeing im quite inactive this summer , we've decided to create the first domination cup this september , we won't forget don't worry and we'll try to make you have the best time ever . The tournamenet will be a 4v4 cup , we still don't know for sure how we'll make it , it might be single elimination , double , groups . If you have any suggestions don't hesitate to shoot them ;)

We won't forget and see you around hopefully!
