Profile to affect Config

I thought of this idea because I'm playing both Domination and normal CTF and all.
For normal CTF I set my config to no background sceneries, and with Domination for example I have to put it on.
So I thought of having a CTF Profile and Domination profile, each one will affect the Config settings for my convenience.

I don't have other examples where this could be useful, but you're welcome to raise these scenarios.

It would be useful for other popular modes.
Sometimes in climb you need to turn background sceneries on since some death polies or platform are represented by middle/back scenneries.
There is also Hide and Seek, where the little door sceneries representing the seeker spawn spots are set to back.

Yes. But select-able from inside Soldat. So what about adding it into the current profiles system?




Now that I think of it there might be another solution for this issue.
A configurable "white list" in which you could define a set of sceneries that should always appear even if render background scenery is off.

You cannot select or change that stuff from inside soldat as a restart of soldat is required to make it work.

What about the white-list solution? Would it be possible to add it in soldat.ini or somewhere else?

I don't want to add this. More options are not always better. You should better talk to the mappers to get the map fixed instead of relying on adblockers texturebolckers

I think in the long run it would be better to just merge the config.exe and soldat.exe settings and make them work with profiles.
But there is so much other stuff that is important I wonder if it will happen soon or at all.
Maybe when we implement a new soldat gui it might get merged.
