Hey
Ive been playing soldat for ages and heres one thing I cant miss..Since I have a new pc (direct 11, ATI, Win7) my Soldat is freezing.I have already tried all of the configurations but any of it worked. I have also tried to change the option in soldat.ini but no results again. FPS is up to 250 the game goes well but when there is some action or explodes my Soldat is freezing and my whole aim goes to you know where.. Id be very glad if someone could help me OR PS to MM: You finally could make some new design compatible with Win7 direct11 and stuff..I know that this game is oldschool but there are many mistakes in ur scripts..
I think that new graphied Soldat should rly big success in the world.

Rftp had the same problem with his new gaming pc try turning off 'fps limit' and playing in windows mode

Do you have more details on that bug?
Please let me know how to exactly reproduce it (one way which makes sure it always happen).
I wonder if it freezes if you join a single player game and throw a grenade.
Does it freeze once the grenade explodes etc (such details are helpful)
Try to reduce the stuff that is happening to a minimum so it's easier to figure out what is the cause.

I mean since there is some shaking in the game even in Singleplayer (granades,minigun,chainsaw) in that moment its happening. Or..(found out now) if someone's starring shooting the bullets on the screen. In every shaking moment its freezing and the game with my aim is ruined..Im already pis*ed off..Finally fixed fps and now this..

FOR EXAMPLE: " Im flying like a bird fluently. The thing which surely meats me all the time is spray..I see first bullet - a little FREEZE. Hey there is a nade on the ground ! Boom - FREEZE a sh*t.. SO what are you gonna do now ? Ofcourse spray and throwing nades FREEZE FREEZE <--- This is how my game looks like - HELP

And btw. The configuration which has reduced it a little is to set :

-Refresh rate: Default
-Particles on screen: Even less

Ive already tried all of the options in the config..Also tried to make some changes in my ATI graph. card center mainly for Soldat but I see almost no changes on the game.

when people shoot and you are far away (so the screen doesn't shake) its not freezing?
when you join a single player game with no bots (just you alone) and pick the m79 and shoot, when exactly does the game freeze?
does it unfreeze eventually and if, after what time exactly (use the m79 example from above)?

When I play alone in SP the game is fain even with nades and m79 BUT again for example...When I started ctf_Cobra and fly to enemies base it freezed a little dunno why... When I am away from ppl and dont see bullets its also fain but in some places its gonna start. Freezes are over cca 3 secs since it has been started.

I have some feelings that there are such a things in the game which my graphic cant take..Number of objects on the screen etc..I just dont get it and ceasing love with Soldat.

Could you post your system information?
Maybe someone else has similar issues or no issues with a similar setup.

Since the issues only happen when you are seeing them (if i read your answer correctly) it might have to do with the use of an old version of directx in soldat.
We want to switch to a later version (and/or opengl) in the future but I am not sure how to help you currently.

If anyone has more information on this feel free to comment.

Having same problem since I reinstalled my Windows 7. It doesn't depend on explosions etc. Happens on Cobra, Cobra2 and another one, can't remember the name. I tried different settings, drivers and nothing has changed

FPS is 60 all the time, so it's not the cause.

Shoozza I will play this game and nothin can stop me. But it would be good to get some nobel price or award for dedication ^^
It has ruined my presence in SWC T_T

I have checked rc2 and it seems good with bots but it is hard to say how it works with players on servers because there are nobody.

Please let me know when you find some people to test if the 1.6.4rc2 really works well.
Like I said there might be someone in the irc channel but it really depends on how long you can wait there (most people are offline/idle so you wont get a reply in a few minutes)
