You should come by my climb server Zabijaka.pl [Climb] I'm sure you will find someone willing to help you out. Or we can schedule a short session so I can try and teach you the moves. What is your in game nick?

Simply jump back and hold A+W or D+W and Right Mouse Button

On these pictures, notice the green arrow. This arrow shows the direction which the player is looking. That's important, becouse you can do backflip only facing backwards.

Look on the second image. When you jump to right (D+W) - still looking to left - press jets button (right mouse). Whoi'la! Congratulations. You just perfomed your first backflip!


P.S. Once you learn basic backflip, try this: after ordinary side jump (like simple D+W), hold W and wait. You can perfom backflip anytime during the fall, while still holding W, on any side. Just be sure to face backwards.

What Moroes and others are forgetting to mention is that the backflips sometimes fail to animate in demo replays, as a result you see awkward air hovering movement like in the video. Which I assume is what you're wondering about.

Oh sorry I was talking about the move before 3:03. It's exactly as smiluu said - normal late backflip but you just can't see it from the demo and you wouldn't be able to see it ingame(as spec or another player) too... This is soldat, people might not see the same move which is on your screen.
