You can try climbing, it's active and addicting and some of the annoying bugs were just fixed in the beta

This is my 11th year of being involved with Soldat.

Admittedly I haven't played it in the past few years that often since I switched to Linux and then Mac, but every now and again I'll whip out a VM and burn a few hours playing it.

Tbh it peaked in 2007.

I remember playing Soldat in 2005 being a 13 year old. But yeah, when I joined the forums in 2007, I played a lot. I even remember staying up irresponsibly late playing mods and fine tuning the maps I'd made. Then I'd get to work late and feel like a retard haha.

I remember there was a Soldat forums player match up where a bunch of us played a couple different game modes. I think Wraithlike and Suowarrior, among others, played.

Yeah, I remember a lot of fun little community events like that. And how there were like a hundred new posts every hour here. When the "Active Topics" page was never empty.

Almost brings a tear to my eye honestly.
