Fraps
« on: February 21, 2007, 12:58:08 am »
anyone use this or know what it is.

i think its way better then using the soldat demo. this saves it intoa file to where u can edit it on windows movie maker and make ur montage
alows u to take a scrren shot whenever u want without using Print screen or end game photo. so if u see a sweet image ingame simply press f10 and boom its in ur archive, same with videos

http://www.fraps.com

i am currently looking for a full version because i cannot pay for the full version

Erm, the only way you're going to get a full version is to pay for it. Plus most people who make Soldat movies record using the Soldat demo function, then record the demo using Fraps ;) If you record strait from gameplay it screws up your framerate and it tends to look tacky with the cursor flying about everywhere.

For future reference, please know that "Fan Apps" is for Soldat fan-developed programs.  This is regarding Fraps, so I'm moving it to Fan Art/Movies

it does not screw up your framerate. just make the recorder to record in the same amout of the FPS displayed in soldat.  for example I am recording with 80 fps. the files are HUGE but you can encode them later.

sakae: It might not screw your frame rate on a good comp, but I tried fraps on my 1700mhz and it lags too much to be playable. Maybe it could work with a replay like ultraman said.

I believe that is what most people do anyway, though I could be wrong

Erm, giving other people a registered version for free is illegal! Everyone has to pay if they want a registered version.

I mean.. just turn up the recordfps... alltough I couldbe wrong but what doI know? :O. my computer is like 1 or 1,5 year old... but still it runs fraps well. if it lags down you computer.. just buy a new one ;) what isnt soldat worth? :)
