FLAB, could you please move this to the lounge 1. Is space endless? And if not, where does it end, and whats on the other side
2. If you were God, and could do absolutely anything, could you make a door you could not open?
1st:
Yes and No. Woot? Yes and No.
Space has an end, but it is impossible to reach the border because it has no border. What? Imagine you lived in a 2D world on a flat. you'd be a circle, a square or whatever, and your line of sight would be a line (is that were line of sight comes from?
). Imagine this flat you are living on was actually the surface of an orb. the flat would be bent in the 3rd Dimension, the height, but you as a 2D form of life wouldn't recognize this bending. so, this galaxy on the orb would have no end because you can go round and round and youll never reach a border, but still its not endless because after eons youll reach the same spot were you've started because you basically ran in a circle. now you have to compare this whole construct to our 3D world. our whole world is bent in the 4th dimension but we can't feel it with our senses. this also explains the so called wormholes from sience-fiction which actually DO exist. imagine instead of running on around on the surface of the orb you'd instead go through it's inner space to reach a certain spot. your way would be shortened a lot. this is exactly what wormholes are, a shortcut through the 4th dimension.
i can tell you more about this thought if you want
the existance of the4th dimension and the 3rd's bending in the 4th dimension has been proven by einstein already
2. allthough i think there is no godlike lifeform, if there was one and I'd be him, the answer to your question would be...
Yes and No again. the predefined unlimited might of god allows him to do something and at the same time not do it, but this thought is unimaginable for our human brain and it seems unlogical so most people can't get this, actually no human can get this, but still i support this idea.
