How about dropped guns keep their ammo count? As in, if you empty half a clip and then toss your gun to a friend, when they grabbed it they'd only have half a clip left.

I like this idea. This only happens when you're playing with bots though.

However a chainsaw still keeps it's ammo once dropped, which would make me think this could be done to all other weapons except the LAW, or if the LAW was dropped it'd have that 1 sec wait as when you spawn with it.
I don't think the saw should even have a reload. It runs on gas, comon.

They were discussing it before the lose-ammo-upon-discarding effect was added. E_T said it was possible, rarely, but possible nonetheless in another thread. :S
