Soldat loading up late/ not at all

I've installed soldat perfectly, but when i run it, sometimes the registration window comes up very late or not at all, i remember reading something here about it being the new adverts fault, is this a common problem and if so how can i fix it?

It sounds like it is the advertisement's fault, but not for the same reason as it was before.  Normally when this happens, it means the advertising server is down.  Since they're up, it sounds like your Soldat is having a hard time contacting the ad server.... but for some other reason.

Do you have any weird network configurations for anything?  Also, try disabling the Windows XP firewall and see if that helps.

Yea this has happened to me on rare occasions before i registered.  When it happens i would double click, wait for about 30 seconds (without response), then double click again.  For some reason both instances loaded up at the same time (after I click again).  Then I just right-click-closed one in the taskbar.

How frequently does it happen for you?
