unlimited time settings
« on: September 15, 2006, 06:00:02 am »
1. Unlimited spawn time settings:

so you can put 0-99999 as spawntime.
Y? New gameplay possibilities:
ragdoll fun:
make a tall map like the tabletop game fortuna and /kill your soldat at the top and watch in which place he would fall the long way and how much points he gets from that. (like sectors: 10 points, 20 points and so on.)

2. round time limit:

so you can have time countdowns in a match where everyone dies when it goes 0. its like survival modes round system, exept it has a time limit for each round)
Y? New gameplay possibilities:
Time attack:
Can be used in climbing maps or racing maps to force player get to the objective/finishline while the clock is ticking. This will add extra excitement.

3. is there any use of this forum?

Michal wont upgrade soldat anymore and if he does it will most likely be the dedicated server anyways.

Body launching would be so much fun, how about a big target painted on the map you have to try to land on.   :D

unlimited time limit.
make a tall map, with two little enclosed caves, put a blue in one, and yellow in the other (like how some climb maps are)
turn on survival mode. then turn on team match
add bots to blue and yellow team,
kill yourself.
as long as there are still survivers, you will not respawn.

as for the round limit, that would be a cool addition. it would put an end to noobs running around in circles looking for each other, or camping on either sides of the map.
maybe the person with more health wins the round when the time runs out. or it ends up as a draw

You can set the time limit to 65535.

I think 65535 minutes is long enough, unless you plan on playing the same map for 32 days straight...

^Not 65536? IT's not like having 0 minutes would ever be used.

I like the round time limit, but you can do that by having a short time limit and making a map appear many times in a row on the maplist.
