Some help with weapon stats
« on: September 28, 2006, 05:11:51 pm »
hi i'm actually working on my own mod, i changed everything but i still have to change my weapon stat ( a 30rds p90 isn't that credible) but as i read it in the post it, i have to edit the weapon.ini, thing i already did but when i start the game they is no changes at all, i would like to change rounds and ROF, how do you manage to do that?

and i wanted to know also how you charge this weapon stat mod on a dedicated server?

thanks in advance.

Well, there's this command that allows you to load weapons.ini while in-game. It's in the last place you would expect, the Soldat Manual. Don't mind the bitter sarcasm, I'm just in kinda a bad mood. :P
Anyway, the comand is
Code: [Select]
/loadwep xxxwhere xxx is the name of the file xxx.ini (so typing /loadwep HAX would load the weapons settings from the file HAX.ini).
I'm sure you've already figured out how to use a weapons editor such as one in this topice. It's pretty simple, and unorthodox weapons can be found in this topic.
If you want to get a weapons.ini to load when you play a mod using the -mod parameter, just place the changed weapons.ini inside the mod's folder under the name weapons.ini. So, the path for the L33T MOD's changed weapons would be something like C:\Soldat\Mods\L33T MOD\weapons.ini.
You can load weapon stats on the server by simply loading the stats while in-game with the /loadwep command.

Hope this helped.
