You'd be suprised.  Ever seen chainsaw campers?
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

also, i really disagree with those of youwho think the barret is a perfect match. the ruger player has 4 hard hitting shots, hell shoot you while your in your startup and thus right before you fire the bink will make you miss, violla, you are ruger owned again.

That assumes the Ruger lands the first shot, and it actually binks the Barreter enough to miss. The whole idea behind using the Barret is that you don't have to worry about the Ruger if you're good enough to land the first shot. Just as with every weapon, it really depends on your skill level, the enemy's, and your position on the map.

Shouldn't you rinse after lathering?

Also, try using deagles. More shots than the ruger, and quite an acceptable range.

Get something to hide behind then shoot at him with auto using arc to your advantage, thats a plus autos have they can get into places where others cant, well actually in my opinion spas would work best doing this but it all depends on the user.

If you have to fight a Ruger user at long range, your best bet is probably any auto (except MP5, of course).

However, fighting a Ruger user at long range is dumb.  Close in as fast as possible.  If you're quick and smart about cover (and lucky), you should be able to get close enough to use the Deagles or M79, though an auto will still do the trick.

The SPAS is probably a bad idea, as the huge momentum transfer may "boost" the Ruger user away from you, putting him at an advantage.

Chainsaw. Ruger hardly stop a chainsaw on the run, so in close quarters, it's resonable to assume you'll be able to cut him^^

Oh, every other gun in the game also counters rugers.
My aim sucks.

No weapon has a "perfect" counter.  :P Some can be better suited  for certain situations, but to expect there to be this one magic gun which is the best or dominates another weapon is silly. The Barret is a good choice against a Ruger one-on-one, but if facing a team of Ruger users, I'd probably  go with the Minimi myself just for the high bullet cache alone.
