Exploding Polys

Made this thread on the old forums decided to remake it. Exploding polys, soldat hits that poly and the soldat explodes... pretty simple what do you guys think?

I can already imagine a bunch of n00bs mining the hell out of their flag areas.

As for the exploding polys, I'm for it. Seems like an interesting idea.

i like the crumbling and exploding poly ideas, although they seem a bit useless on a normal map. good ideas though

I like the idea, it'd be good, as I said on the old forums, to simulate landmines or a bombing area.
As an extention, maybe explosions should happen randomly on the polygons every now-and-again for visual appeal.

No, because we don't need more needless explosions on screen to do the same job as the "death" polygon attribute. There's enough graphics clutter as it is with grenades, M79s, and auto spray, so just adding to that mess with no gameplay benefit would be a worthless addition in my opinion.

I think the lava polys shoudl be a bit more like.... well lava. like you body sort of slowly comes to bits.. whatever
