Ok, noob question time.
Flame me if you wish, but I really want to know how to use it and what it is.

WHAT IS IRC?  How do you use it, etc...?



...  I know it stands for Internet Relay Chat and that's about it.
Please do help me Soldatens?

Imagine that, but with numerous people.


You join a server, in which contains dozens, hundreds, or thousands of rooms, otherwise known as channels.
In these channels can be anywhere between 1 and hundreds of people, all talking to each other.
You can message people privately, or talk publically with everyone in the room in real time.
Everyone in #soldat.forums will treat you like shit.

Double click anywhere where there isn't text inside a channel, then edit the messege on the window that pops up.
