How to scope on Baret

How do you scope in through the baret? Someone said by dragging the mouse but if I do that it just fires

This sniper weapon has incredible power. It was designed to pierce tank armor. The Army didn't even plan to use it against people. But who cares?
Sniper mode available if you crouch or go prone.

Basically you just crouch or go prone, then move your cursor to the far edge of the screen in the direction you want to scope (won't work if you're reloading/between shots.

The scope doesn't always want to work, too, and you may have to move the cursor away from the edge and back to it to get the scope action to register.

Also, if you crouch/prone before the little rate-of-fire bar fills and you can shoot it won't work, you'll have to un-crouch/prone and wait for it to fill.
