How come I can't get xfire to work with Soldat?

It's on the list of games Xfire works with, but I can't get xfire to come up while playing. Does anyone else have a similiar problem?

...behold the obvious. >_<  Listen, if you want to start a conv in game, press Alt+Scroll Lock in game.  Or whatever the key combo is.  Just try again.

If that doesn' work I know the problem:

1. On the xfire main chat app window, click Tools>Options
2. In the next window, click the Games tab
3. Wait for it to detect your installed gmaes, then look under the Section that says: "Installed Games"

If Soldat is under there, then check your In-game message key, it may be off.  (Go to the Chat tab)

If it ins't, locate it under the "Not Installed" list.  Double click on the section's title to access Xfire's list of supported games.  Scroll down to see all the games, they are sorted alphabetically.  Once you see it on the list, click Browse, and locate the game's path, or folder for lack of a better word.  Then click OK.
I'd recommend checking your In-game message keys anyways.

This info should solve all problems.  Hope it helps. ;)

Ages ago when I used xfire this happened to me,
it was because I uninstalled Soldat then re-installed it and xfire didn't automatically detect it.

Follow Brock's advice (You basically gotta browse to the soldat.exe)

I figured it out. I have two separate installations of Soldat in two different directories, and it was associating itself with the one I wasn't trying to use.

You're wrong becuase I use xfire ingame all the time...  I don't what your link says, but I use ingame with soldat everyday. ;)

It was the fact that he had two Soldat installations that made Xfire confused. Really a different case from yours, eh.

Its an instant messaging service for gamers. People on your list can join the server your in by just right clicking your name on Xfire and clicking join or something like that. I used it in my newbie days. Its a massive resource hog that the majority of the community does not use. The two most used Soldat chat services (in order) are mIRC (this is the oldest chat service out and the best) and MSN (dont know why so many people use MSN but I hate it only DL'd it to get in contact with the many who use it).

Speaking of XFire,did anyone change the default in-game chat keys (Scroll+whatever?)
I put mine to
Alt+Ctrl =chat
Ctrl+Shift=Screenshot

It's easier than reaching to scroll lock.

Wait a second...so that means you don't Alt+Z for Taunt? Just do Ctrl+S then,saves one more key ;)
