didn't work on Dapper, barely worked on windows. But hey, at least it isn't on a repository or some crap like that.

On the same system I posted info about above, when it was running xp pro, R ran extremely perfectly. It only barely works on windows if the system isn't relatively very top notch.
Are you saying my computer sucks? I find that insulting ¬_¬
The new "port" loaded way slower, then had some graphical problem, also off center in the window, that happens in ubuntu a lot, which is really annoying. I didn't bother switching it because like I said the other was instant where as this was a loading screen for about 30 seconds.

For those of you who are trying this on ubuntu, try installing "libsdl-mixer1.2" and try this again, with my zip/tar.gz file.  Nothing has changed in the file, but I think you need to have this library installed before sound will work
