"You can't" is at the moment the awful truth.

Yes, in the Soldat executable. You can't modify those numbers.

What do you mean? It is probably some value that sets how much the player is pushed away in the opposite direction of gunfire, but as I stated that is hard-coded so you can't modify them.

Excruciator, make a suggestion that Michal adds in variables for kick in the weapons.ini so we can see how many people agree.

Also, I'm moving this to the modding help section.

I used to think that. Until I played a-four-year-old's recent weapon mod.

You can change pushback. I'm not sure how he did it. I know that so far it applies only to the SPAS-12 and XM214 Minigun (so I would like VijchtiDoodah's idea to apply push to all weapons for modding), but I think you mess with Speed, and/or Damage. I'm not sure; some drastic tweak in those variables will heavily increase or decrease whole recoil.

Change the minigun's projectile speed, and you get different pushback. Or, make any weapon shoot spas things, the higher the speed, the stronger the pushback.

I've been experimenting.

Ah, that's right. I forgot, thanks. The SPAS's push is linked to the bulletstyle; any weapon can use it. The Minigun is restricted to weapon 10 in the weapon menu, however. I keep forgetting that, gah...

Minigun pushes you according to speed regardless of bullet style (well, maybe not all, haven't used every type with it) and the last time I gave the spas a bullet style of anything but type 3 bullets (pellets) it didn't fire anything.
