Crazy mother of a change to moderators

Yep, we've flipped the lid, gone off our trolley and got ****ed up on eggnog.

All the forums moderators have now been made 'Global' Moderators. Little Billy here has come to ask some frequently asked questions that some of you may ask.


Little Billy says:
What does this mean, Administrator Ru?

Well Billy, it's quite simple. What this means is that if there is a problem of any magnitude in any section of the forum - whether someone spamming links to wax or insulting harmonicas -, any of our current moderators can deal with it. This leaves the admins with the basic duties of keeping this place running and issueing out bans.



Little Billy says:
Isn't that just a little crazy though, Administrator Ru? I mean, Gram moderating 'everywhere'? Outcast too? They'll go power mad!

Ha ha ha ha, yes, you're quite possibly right there Billy. Which is why we admins will come crashing down on any of them mother****ers the second they step out of line like a a freakin' jet powered anvil!

Phew! glad to know we'll be safe from any suspected mad men having far too much power than anyone should have, and now we're even better protected from any potential illegal activities. Can these global moderators do anything else though Administrator Ru?

As a matter of fact Billy, yes. Yes they can. They can now modify peoples' avatars and signitures, as a lot of people don't like to follow the rules on them.

But won't someone like, oh I don't know, Demonic, just replace my avatar with a picture of Hitman's mum and my signiture with an embarassing Linkin' Park design? I feel scared, Administrator Ru.

Oh thats alright Billy. You see, ever since we upgraded to these new fancy forums, we can now track every single change a moderator makes to anything at all. So they know that they can't do anything bad, because we'll be watching!

That sucks that "one gram" can moderate everywhere.

Even though this is the case now, most moderators will probably stick to their normal sections and only step into others when there's a problem that needs attention.  I think that Ru, myself, and most other forum members would prefer it that way.  This is why the homepage of the forums still shows each moderator in his own section.

Habits are not easy to break. I wouldn't of even gotten on the forums today if someone hadn't messaged me requesting a bug fix for SimpleDemo

No worries, its typical for the smaller guy to get his ideas taken from him so someone else can get the credit. Thats what separates us from the monkeys. Except monkeys don't kill each other in their sleep.
