Questions
« on: April 23, 2007, 08:19:57 pm »
•Is there the ability to set the style / color of clothing / skin / hair? I believe I already saw this posted before and saw that it wouldn't be possible (easily) but if it were to ever happen (whether in the upcoming release or further in the future), I would be very happy. (Simulation of predator mode)

•Is there the ability to set a person's armor to a specified amount? If not, will it ever be in a future?

•Is it possible to set the person's health (by doing negative DoDammage damage) past 100%

•What is a person's full health amount? (#; without armor and with... 4000 with if I recall correctly)

•How does the health-armor relation work? I know that you can get hit with a weapon and have health lower even with armor.

I don't know them all but...

Do you mean the outfit your dude wears? Just go to the player tab and select them.

Unless you mean BPV I don't know what you are talking about...
•What is a person's full health amount? (#; without armor and with... 4000 with if I recall correctly)
It says on the wiki somewhere, look around.

I think the BPV just absorbs some of the damage, so you still get hurt just not as much.

... He's talking about doing all that via server scripts. Hence posting it in the scripting section.
I'm afraid I ain't gonna be of much help here though.

Unfortunately not.

Hmm.. don't think so. Might be worth bothering EnEsCe about it.

•Is it possible to set the person's health (by doing negative DoDammage damage) past 100%
I believe so.

Soldat Wiki says 150,000 units, but since the scripting manual says that 4000 is a definate kill... meh.

•How does the health-armor relation work? I know that you can get hit with a weapon and have health lower even with armor.
Dunno about that one.

also, the amount of health you lose per bullet if you have a bpv is independent of how much bpv u have left.  This means if you have say 1% of the bpv remaining, a barret shot will not kill you!
Can't think of anything original to put here...

for those who visit here and are wondering the answer to my question of the max amount of health...
Quote
The health system is based on a set amount of health units. 100 percent health as appeared in the game is equivalent to 150,000 units. The maximum health state is 200,000 units, or 133%, while the minimum is -400,000, or -267%. For realistic mode 100 percent health is defined by 65,000 units.
from http://wiki.soldat.nl/Health

I looked it up :)
but then why would the [eC] Scripting Manual say 4000 as 100% health?

(would there be a difference between unreal and realistic?)

i feel really numb right now.. what does BPV stand for? im assuming the vest / armor

4000 is just a definite kill, I didn't say anywhere that 4000 is the max health or anything like that. I just got the 4000 damage value from the /kill command code.

You guys can figure it out once 2.6.0 gets released.

Sorry to say but when I have my health over 100% (133% im assuming according to http://wiki.soldat.nl/Health), /kill doesn't instantly kill you... it just hurts u a lot. You may want to change the 4000 to a higher number. I suggest you to just get the number of units of health you have and then posting that but I'm too lazy to figure out what that it right now.
(i remember figuring this out a few days ago so i may have forgotten.. sorry if its wrong but im pretty sure its correct)
