Karma and Downloads
« on: February 19, 2007, 06:14:49 am »
I had typed up a whole message and when I posted, it said I had already posted.... So I lost the post....
<--This hasnt happened to me for ages. So I guess this bug should also be fixed

Basically a summarise of my lost post.
  • Could you add an account option to disable karma viewing?
  • Could you fix the attached downloads so my status bar actually tells me how much of the files is left to download.

The karma viewing thing might be possible once someone has the time to work on it.

The file thing is not since all of the attachments are handled dynamically.  Do you have dial-up or something?  the attachments on here are generally under 500KB so most people download them in a second or two

No, I got broadband. But it's just annoying seeing a status bar.. not showing the status of the file
Yeah but the thing is you can do it when its dynamic :)
I think you got to calculate the file size and send it with the headers.

yeah, I figured that was the case (Content-Length iirc).  Maybe I'll get around to it, it is a minor thing to do.
