Good electric guitar for beginners

Hey, i'm looking to take up guitar. Does anyone know good electric guitars (under $150) that I could get? I'm going to play punk-rock mainly.

You can try a Lazer guitar....typical strato but it's made by a company that makes drums. (lol)

Yeah, it's not like Dean guitars are of very high quality, and some of the best guitarists of all time don't use them. If you want cheap, check out your local pawn shop.

If you don't mind electro-acoustic, here's an okay one you can buy online. You can play it either electric or acoustic, but you'll need an amp to play it electric.

Get a Les Paul, haha.

You can get pretty cheap ones here and there.

Also, Fender Strats. Or Strat copies from other companies.


My personal favourite guitar is the ESP F-500. That and my Ibanez AX-120. Both were customized to my command. These are my children.

A cheap stratocaster copy is probably what you're looking for... even though they look dull to me...
But just check out a local music store (preferably a guitar store) and tell them what you're looking for. We know soldat... they know guitars.
