Tw_ Greek
« on: June 25, 2007, 11:36:52 am »
This map is going to be a european based theme, on top there will be plain fields and hopefully I can find some farmhouses in a scenery. Also some mountains will be included. At the very begginning of both bases there is a small tunnel leading to the very bottom of the map, here there will be lavish gardens and golden fountains. Some help with the scenery and texture would be appreciated.

I also have a rough sketch but I don't know a sight to upload it.
(I forgot how to make screenshots.)

Show the picture on your monitor, and press [ALT] + PrtScr (next to F12). Then push [CTRL] + V in Paint or some image editor, save the file (not as a .BMP!!), and upload it directly into your post here in this thread (click "Additional Options...").

Well actually for some reason the whole map theme took a turn, now it's general ctf based.

I've only gotten half of the blue base done, I think maybe I should put a gap between the two bases and have a section up top.
Also I'd like to get a sort of fuzzy look with the texture, plus i'm horrible with shading and waypointing.

It looks like you have a hard-on for excess polygons. Instead of going through the entire map doing that, you should really create your own texture and then edit the edge graphic.  That way you're both saving effort and not killing old computers.

I have no clue on how to do that, i'm not good with creating edges or textures or any images in that matter.
