My high school, where teachers would join the pot smokers in the parking lot on Fridays for a quick bong hit, celebrated this like a national holiday.  Nobody came to school -- even non-smokers -- because it was a waste of time.

I remember seeing a poster back in high school that someone had put up on this date which had a giant picture of Hitler with the words 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY HITLER' underneath. That made my day.

Actually, Darwin didn't heave eugenics into such extremities. It was his grandnephew or something along the lines of that. Also, Hitler didn't voice what the public felt (that's not to say he didn't voice what anyone felt), but rather, he succeeded in brainwashing the youth of the Third Reich, to the point where they feel no sympathy while slaughtering captive Jews.
