Graphic stops
« on: May 01, 2007, 07:33:08 pm »
It never happened with 1.3.1. Now when I play soldat, the graphic use to freeze after every 10 minutes or less. The sound is still there. I have to minimize Soldat and restore it to have the graphic working again.

I'm using window vista.

Anyone else has this kind of problem?

Oh btw I forgot to write. It is already compatible(WinXP). And I also checked "Run this program as an administrator".

Run it under compatibility mode. It's a known bug :)

You run compatibility by right clicking the shortcut icon, then changing compatibility to 'Windows XP'.

No really, XP. God, this'll just keep bringing the emoticon to life ... alright, how about 'Windows before Vista, but after ME'.

How's your DirectX version ? I'm not entirely sure that the Vista DirectX version is compatible with Soldat yet, but that's just a guess :D. You could try downgrading, but again, I'm hazy on that too. But try updating it just to be sure.

Crud. Well ... I'm stumped. It could be one of a hundred things inside Soldat that no one other than EnEsCe (the former hacker) and MM himself. But hey, at least you can play for 10 minutes :D.

Hey, although this seems obvious, have you tried playing 1.3.1 since this started happening ? If it doesn't run, that'd be indicative of a change between your ceasing of 1.3.1 and first run of 1.4, thus making a troubleshoot much easier.

I use NVIDIA GeForce 430/410(that's written on properties)...
In soldat setup, I got NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE
what should I do?

And I use Vista.

Kinda wish I could look at the code and help debug, but I lack experience in any kind of visual programming :(

Checking Video Compatibility should solve this problem for Vista.
