Lobby Problem Caused By Server IP Change

Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping someone here can help me out; I rent a server from Clanplanet, who recently changed the IP addresses of all their Soldat servers.  The server still functions fine, but the lobby server shows the old IP and consequently, people aren't able to connect via the lobby. Specifying the correct IP directly in the client works fine.

I tried changing my server name and re-registering with the lobby, and while the name change is reflected correctly, the old IP still displays.

Does anyone know how I can get the lobby to update my server's entry with the correct IP?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can you tell me the new IP+port and old IP+port of the server?  I can almost assure you that the old data wouldn't be in the lobby unless you still had the old server running.

Hi, and thanks for the quick response.

The old IP/port was 195.242.239.140:23074, the new one is 193.200.158.26:23074.  If I try to connect directly to the old IP from the client it fails - so while I guess it's possible that Clanplanet have recycled the IP and issued it to someone else, it doesn't seem like that's happened.

It appears that the old server is not fully stopped.  The lobby is still receiving updates from the old IP


The new server is probably just not showing up because of a few bugs in the dedicated server software for 1.4.0 that prevent the server from connecting to the lobby properly.  It should be fixed in 1.4.1 which should be out soon.

edit: I have spoken to EnEsCe.  He confirmed that this is due to a bug in the dedicated server software 2.6.0 that has to do with how it connects to the lobby using the proper IP.  While this may not be the bug I was thinking of, it is definitely what is causing this to happen.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but at least it is fixed in the new software and we should all be happy soon
