Noob question

This is not about modding. It's about how to get the mods working. I'm new to this mod thing. I don't know how to activate the mods.

By the way, if you run soldat with a new mod, what would happen to the original gosteks and weps?

Ok 2 methods:

put out all the things of the mod on: c:/soldat/mods
or put in c:/soldat

Nothing, If you put mod folder into Soldat/Mods folder. With -mod parameter (Starter using this also) all folders files, sounds, text of the mod will be load from mod folder, not Soldat directory, Alternatively, You can overwrite all default files with mod files and run Soldat.exe with that modified original files. This working similiar as in another games, where mod is loaded by different folder or from overwrited files, look at first Half-Life done in similiar way.

The way to get mods working is to place the folder containing the modded files in the Soldat\Mods directory. The folder should have other folders in it, like Weapons-gfx, Sfx, Interface-gfx, etc. So, the sound effects for the Nerf Mod 2 would be in Soldat\Mods\Nerf Mod 2\Sfx.
Once that's done, you can use Soldat's built-in Mod Starter (a rip-off of mar77a's Mod Manager) to choose the folder and hit "Run Soldat Modded". That's it, Soldat should run with the graphics and sounds from the selected mod folder.
Or, you can be a hardcore person like me and make a shortcut for easy access to your mods.
