I read an article about a chinese kid suiciding himself, because he was addicted to WoW..
I'll grab the article. Expect an edit.

Yes, but the main outcry about the violent videogame issue is over the fact that it can cause kids to turn violent themselves. People kill themselves over stuff everyday, it's not as shocking as murder.
oh, your right. I'm assuming its the stuff in shooting games thats makes them want to murder? For instance, your playing a shooting game. You take out your pistol, then you see a Counter-Terrorist, and shoot him. So then he thinks he has the privilege to run out in the street, buy himself a gun, and start shooting. Is this what your talking about?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ... yes.

Ok, I'm understanding now, but who's fault would it be? Obviously, the person who committed the murder. If he committed the murder he goes to jail. Now all of the sudden now he's wanted to ban violence in video games? Its a little too late since theres a lot of games going on now, with shooting.
Remember, its all fun and games 'till someone gets hurt.. then its hilarious.

OR it would be the fault of the parents for letting them waste away hours and hours in front of  screen killing and killing. A kid isn't going to know his mind will become warped by playing this game for hours when he buys it.

I already won this thread. Stop arguing.

I can't say that CS haven't left me wanting to try out one of those weapons in real life (not neccesserialy on someone though), but if I actually killed someone with it, then that would be my fault and not the games.

for some of you who seem a bit confused:

There are people who say that the violence in video games affects the brain by making that person more aggressive and/or violent, specifically in younger children

There are gamers who hope these people get eaten by a lvl 70 dragon, but this backfires most of the time.

There are people in the gaming industry that knows they have a constitutional right to make whatever they want, and distribute it. They compromised because the gaming industry does not target young children with explicit content, they target children with yoshi fun cloud time. This compromise was the birth of the ESRB that basically tells parents what the game has in it and a suggestion of the maturity of the person playing it.

Parents have the responsibility to not feed their children super kill death gore IV just like parents need to tell their children to not talk to strangers and eat their green vegetables. These stupid people buy the game for their kids with total disregard and when their kid decides to bring a knife to school, they are so surprised, they might as well buy cigarettes for their children.

Don't you just hate those hippies who are trying to take away guns too?

They should make it so if you support that idea, then you have to put a bumper stick and a yard sign that says "I possess no guns in this house" or something like that.

Let's see how much less violence they will get.

"Honey, where are the kids?"

"The who?"

"You know, the kids! Those things I was giving birth too while you were at the Super Bowl."

"Oh, right, right, THOSE kids. They're fine, I think. Just upstairs plowing down hookers and violently murdering cops with flamethrowers and chainsaws."

"Oh, ok. Just as long as they aren't out selling that...that...'Crack Cocaine' and listening to...'Hip-Hop'"

"Not in my house!"

In Sweden a politican wants to make it so that if you commit something that is a crime in a videogame you can be arrested and it will be treated like a real crime.

In prison-
"I raped and I killed and I drove drunk. What did you do?"
"I run someone over in GTA"
"Lol? I made a headshot in CS."
