Error whilst requesting servers

When i click request servers it says connecting, then it takes a while then it says error raised whilst connecting. Or sometimes it says Pinging all...

Nothing happens after this. I've tried closing it, opening again. Logging off my internet then getting back on. I've tried restarting my computer. Nothing. I was playing it yesterday with no problems. I don't want to uninstall because i have to change a lot of settings due to having AVG etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

It may be a firewall problem.

But i haven't changed anything, or could it just have changed itself?

I also haven't updated to 1.4.1 'cause of the bugs i keep reading, could this be the problem?

hey this error appears every time when i play..i hate that I have to hold pressed ESC button to resolve the problem..what I can do to repair?

yes, you should update to 1.4.1.  1.4.0 has 10 times the amount of bugs that 1.4.1 does.
