Battle Eye Problem
« on: June 20, 2007, 06:44:56 pm »
ok, so look. i was all happy makeing my mod, and decided to test it out. i went to run modded, and it was fine. later, i got on normal soldat to play with my friends, and a little link popped up. "do you wish to download the newest battleeye??". now, i have alreadydownloaded it, put the compreseed folder in my soldat folder, and extraced to my soldat folder. what do i have to do to make it stop popping up and use it? please, and thank you.

Edited.  Please do not post completely capitalized thread titles without any description of your problem. -- Vij

Did you overwrite the old files?

Unfortunately I can't guarantee that Soldat's updater is bug-free...

If your version.txt now really contains "6" there indeed seems to be a bug that only MM can possibly fix.

And this is the file in your Soldat folder (not the one in the zip)? If so, there is a definite bug in the Soldat updater...

Simply ignore the message for now then, your BattlEye will work fine ingame.

yes, this is in my SOLDAT folder. let me tell you what i did in case i made a mistake.
1. downlaod battle eye zip, put in my soldat folder, extract files in it outside into soldat folder.
2. didntwork
3. downlaoded BEserver. zip and over wrote it becuasae when iw ent to the soldat main page it said it was a patch. extracted and every thing and over wrote.
4. didnt work.

before i downladoed the b.e. server file, i tried to paly on someone elses folder and it kicked me out because of somethin about the b.e. i dont know if it works now or not, im trying to work on my mod and deal with this so give me some credit. ill check later. u think it will work good now? but the message is also anoying.

Mind uploading both the version.txt and your BattlEye folder with its contents in a .zip/.rar here?

I meant you should upload your Soldat folder's files so I can check if they are correct.

... yeah, by just adding version.txt and the BE folder to a zip file and uploading that.
