tw_Close Combat
« on: June 12, 2007, 08:23:51 am »
how would you guys like some sort of a trenchwar map that is in close combat...
like 2 bunkers near eachother with in the middle a really uncrossable terrain with lots  of trenches, bunkers, obstacles etc..

The idea at my side was no flag at all maybe... why capping if its near impossible?

I tried working on one last night and this was the result:
http://img514.imageshack.us/my.php?image=closecombattempiz2.jpg

i think it was kinda fun playing against those filthy bots already

Comment me on this so i know what to do, add etc

Give all of your crazy ideas  ;D
thnx spkka

EDIT: background scenery is gonna be sth like that, this is just temporary because i don't have any yet, this is the tw_limbo background trees and i don't wanna use them, respect virtualtt!

hmmm maybe something like WW1  you'd have a under ground bunker(dirt looking) for both sides, then a trench that goes to the soldat's chest, then another trench that goes to there waist(both sides) then for the middle it would be a nice long section of craters, wire, and dead bodies..

maybe with scenries at the front of the trench closest to the no mans land(dead bodies of the teams color piles close near the trench and spaced out farther as you got into the land)

wow this map is awsome, might want to change the name.  I wouldnt add a under ground tunnel because it makes rushing more important.  All in all i would say it looks great, just add some barbwire and some other graphics and then release it!!! :)
favorite weapons: Styer, and Ruger

For this to be trenchwar it has to have a equal sniper/spray ratio, which I think you have established quite nicely, but if you have seen all the other trenchwar maps then you would notice the length, I think this map could go much longer, using this as a canyon in the middle and replacing the bunkers with sheds.

This is a really good map.  It has a lot of detail and could have great game-play.  I like it.
