I don't say it's easy to beat a m79. I say it's not impossible. It really depends on player. But it isn't so hard.

Yes, that "m79 noobs" can piss somebody off, especially if his weapon of choice was m79 since the early days, before the "Day of the Unbalance" (AKA 1.3 release. It was 1.3 when m79 got "overpowered" iirc).

Agree. M79 should have a delay, but a bit shorter than barret's one. And it movement accuracy should be really low (I mean high, if you are going to edit it Cause higher the movement accuracy = lower accuracy while you move iirc)

To the OP. Give me your msn or something, I want to 1v1 you for a few rounds. One of them is going to be the m79. And then you will see some of the best m79 shots you will probally see. And after that, you will call me a noob, so Ill have to own you with the rest of the guns.

get over yourself asswipe..of course you'd want to use the m79 because it is the easiest most overpowered gun you could use and even if i could be bothered with 1 on 1-ing some wangchung that is massively arrogant, why would you use anything else? i thought you were defending the m79 fool... you'd just want other weapons as a back up because i'd whoop yo ass

None of these replys were about "feeding my massive ego" either. They were defending the m79, from noobs like you that think its a noob gun, and "there are no 'leet' shots, only lucky ones". Im so sick of all you little cry babys whining about getting owned by the m79. Go to a different server. Get out of pubs. OR. heres a thought. Use it. Learn it. learn its weakness. Once you use the gun, you can get a feel for it. you can understand what most of them do. The limitations, then you can defeat it with no problems.

Here is a tip. Dont back flip or fly high when you are going against an m79er. They know you will do that, instead, slide. run at them, hit prone and jets, then hit prone again, and you will do a baseball looking slide under the shot, then you will kill them.
Get inventive. Dont cry about it. Learn to defeat it.
A server full of m79 majors is cannon fodder for a good player that can avoid the shots. I love when a server is full of m79ers, because 90% of them are so bad with it, they are useless. i would rather play with 10 m79ers than 10 autos, autos are harder to kill in groups than m79ers.

your tactics are **** useless because with the m79 it doesn't matter... unless you're like 2 screens away the m79 will hit you because IT IS MASSIVELY OVERPOWERED
the best thing to do is keep your distance but that never works because all they do is rush and shoot

its a **** weapon that hans't changed since 1.2.1 [when every weapon was overpowered]

Ok, the "show me" quote was because you said you would own me. I would love to see that.
I also said I would only use the m79 for one round, because you would end up calling me a noob, like all of you guys do when you get owned by the m79. And then I said that I would pick up just about every other gun, and own you with it as well. But, if you want me to only use the m79, I would. Or even not use it at all, I will still win. And I can be arrogant, because you are a retard, and you whine, with out even trying to learn to beat it.

And no, You dont see me starting a topic about any auto. I think autos are extremely well ballanced, and powerfull, IF YOU CAN AIM.  Not to mention autos in groups are probally the hardest situation to come out of on top in soldat.

And so you know, the m79 does not have a long range to it at all. not one bit. The only way you can get mad range out of it, is by jumping forward and shooting, similar to how you can toss a nade REALLY far. but even then, it only goes about a half a screen, mebey a bit more if its going down hill.
And as for my dodging tricks, they work great because they are always rushing. All of you noobs that fly in the air, you are sitting ducks. You move too slow and have too little manuverability to be able to dodge these guns. Why dont you try staying on the ground, where its alot easier to dodge any kind of gun? As for my going prone trick, it almost always works, even in tight tunnells. Like the bottom of equinox, or grabbign the flag on that map. The reason they always hit you, is because you suck, and you move too predictable.
Oh and as for you saying that the gun hasnt changed since 1.2.1, are you high? It used to have LESS self damage, you would almost NEVER die from the kamakazi tatics. You could boost with more health, it had WAY Longer range, the only thing that gave it a handicap was the fact that nades, laws, and m79 rounds would explode on contact with dead bodies.

And horang, did you even ****ing try my tactic? No, you just fly around all slow like everyone else.

Why dont any of you noobs listen. Seriously. Come in u13 pub this weekend, and spec on me, and Ill show you how to dodge m79s and kill them.

And A 4 year old. I remember 1.2.1, I remember everything being so over powered it was retarded. Ill give you the mp5 for example. It was EXTREMELY easy to get 3 kills out of one clip. It had so much damage. Faster rate of fire. NO SELF BINK. So you had bullet hoses of death that raped everything in sight. Along with other autos. AK as well. AK was slow, but hit so hard and was almost impossible to miss with. Dont get me wrong, it was fun as hell, and I do miss it. But I like the newer versions better. Also when you say the weapons are weak now, ok yeah, a little, but they arent garbage. Ill still waste people with the AK that you claim is garbage. Just learn to aim better, hit them in the head.

And yes, I call you all whiny noobs that lack skill, because thats what you are. All you people on here do is whine and cry about the m79. **** in 1.2.1 it was the barrett. The Law. What ever gun that kills you guys the most, you whine nerf about it. Go get ****ed. Learn to live with it. If you dont like it, quit soldat, get out of pubs, buy your own server, or just go play with bots. The only reason you guys cry about this gun, is because you dont have the skill to avoid some major that just downloaded this game from owning you, which is pathetic.

Btw, my main gun isnt the m79. Its the AK. I use m79 on 3 maps. Or when im just ****ing around. And ive been using the AK since 1.2.1.
I look forward to your flames and not accepting my 1v1s. Let alone trying my tricks to avoid m79s. Mebey if you tried them, you would have a different outlook on this gun. Hell, you dont even have to 1v1 me, Ill TEACH you how do dodge that gun. And after you can dodge it, you will realize that its not overpowered.

Erm, splash? On the ground you're damn easy to hit. If you weave midair then the m79'ers are gonna have a tougher time beating ya. If you're on the ground then they can hit miles away from you and the splash'll overkill you.
