Server on linux
« on: June 30, 2007, 04:17:13 am »
Hi!

I have VDS server and i wanted to install soldat server on it.

When i try to run it i get error:
ELF binary type "0" not known.
./soldatserver: Exec format error. Binary file not executable.

What should I do?

note:On server is freeBSD

your VDS seems to have FreeBSD installed without Linux binary support.

A note:  Assuming VDS is something like a VPS, just a different name.... you should know that that is not a good idea for running a soldat server.  It will be very jumpy and laggy.

It's just a diferent name.. It's same like a VPS... I want to try with it... Only for few users. I'm learning a bit linux and stuff before i buy something stronger so VPS is perfect for practice.

Thanks i will try to find solution...

Any other help or tips are welcome....

Thanks!

If you wanted to learn Linux you should have gotten a Linux VPS.  There is a decent amount different between BSD and Linux
