Font size issue - nothing helps
« on: July 04, 2007, 01:30:54 pm »
Hello,

It happenned to my Soldat few times. I always reinstalled the game and then it was working properly but I would like to figure out how to fix that problem in other way, without reinstalling soldat.

I often play climbing maps, and sometimes when map changes my soldat just shutdowns. I launch the game again and font size is terrible. Font is so small that it can't be read. I know this is common issue but I tried to edit font.ini, pasting new font.ini etc and it didn't work. Only reinstall helps. I don't want to loose my soldat settings again :(

PS: There is no polish letters too. "Video COmpability" is on. I searched the forums, tried few things but they don't work. Here is the screenshot: http://img236.imageshack.us/my.php?image=skrinnv7.gif

The font size looks fine in that screenshot though.

What happens if you turn video compatibility off?

I had the same problem, except drawtext was insanely huge and the font was different. I looked in settings, and video compatibility was magically turned on.

Seems like Soldat auto-checks it on exit, which is very annoying.
It's actually possible to see me in game now. lolno

Just play around with your font file in your soldat folder. Mine was like yours before, just really big. I just mucked around with the font sizes and got it just right.

Seems like turning off video compability resolves the problem. Thx Boglizk. Thank you guys.
