How the heck do you work the new lighting tool for the latest Polyworks release? I know there is a tutorial due out soon, but with the release of another light-shaded map, I simply have to know. I've been messing around with it for way too long and I'm getting frustrated.
I must be missing something simple...I've tried playing around with the depth tool, placing my light sources, but whenever I go to "apply light to verticies" the lights just disappear.
So what gives?

I don't think anything should change other than the light sources dissapearing.
I'm not entirely sure of the tecnique that should be used (I'm waiting for the tutorial too) but I just place the light sources, select them, change them to the colour I want the light to be and change the z-coordinate to a suitable position.
I hope this helps somehow but I haven't really played around with it enough to give you the "correct" way in which to use the tool.

yeah sometimes it doesn't apply the lights for some reason but when I export the polygons then delete them and import it works...

It sounds like you are trying to apply lights to white polys. If so, colour the polys a darker colour before lighting them.

You have to first darken a polygon. Lights affect polygons with initial lightness less than dark ones. And then check to make sure the light is what color you want, and not at a depth "below" the polygons you want it to be. You should be able to see the color the lights make when you set them up; when you click "apply light", it erases all the lights and actually changes the color of the polygons.
