And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
Ill see you on the dark side of the moon

satanism isnt about worshoping satan straight up, the whole point of the religion is about oneself and its close one's needs, and ure own power, at first i wanted to do it for difference but now its accualy helped me

So it doesn't actually have anything to do with Satan; hence the name is simply for shock value? GREAT religion. =P

Only anime shows I've felt any interest in over the years are Pokemon (original TV series) and various hentai.

Edit:
Also, if you actually look into satanism, and not just the biblical orgins of the adversary, the worship is not focused on any deity, and Anton LaVey stated the he doesn't believe in a devil. The name is derived from the literal hebrew origin of Satan which simply means "Adversary".

Sometimes people need help reading.

But if it's not about a deity, it's not about an adversary either.  If it's a religion based on yourself and only yourself, an adversary is irrelevant.  And, even if an adversary IS relevant, there are much more descriptive ways to title your religion.  The average person sees "Satan" and thinks "hey, that's that supreme evil guy," not "hey, that's Hebrew for adversary."  Given that, I still maintain that it's for shock value.

It defiately has shock value, but I don;t think it was meant to. I figured that the creator was just too eccentric to realize that that would happen.

Or maybe history, but I also don't think its true origins started under the name of "satanism".
