old vs new AK

i really hope they atleast concider my suggestion. as it wouldnt change the balance between the weapons, just make AK more unique and fun!

I actually find myself using the new AK more than the old one. I find it easier to connect a string of shots compared to the old one due to the higher rate of fire, although the movementacc sometimes messes me up...

I abandoned the AK due to increased movementacc. It is still powerful in good hands, but now it is something between old AK and Minimi.

Personally, I think the new AK is way better than 1.3.1. Now you can actually effectivly rush with the gun, because of the increased RoF. But you can stil dish out defending damage because of the punch it still has (even though not as much as it used to). Its also a ton easier to aim.

As for the 1.3.1 clicking method, that really was unneeded. You had 40 bullets, so if you missed a few, oh well.  You just had to fire bursts. Let a few shots fly before bink was noticable, then stop, then keep going. Same with all autos. You could use the click method with every auto, you dont need to click on every shot, as self bink didnt come in untill a few shots were fired.

Now there really is no need for it. You can probally get off about 6 or 7 shots before its even noticeable. Mebey a shot or two less from long range.

AK is fine as it is. There is no reason to abandon it. If you just stick with they changes and adapt, guns are all just fine. And like Ive stated in a different thead, the AK is great for taking out rugers, as long as they miss thier first shot, and you both notice each other at the same time.

In 1.3.1, AK74 was always my gun. I did mainly the click-shooting, and I do now find the AK nerfed aswell. In 1.3.1, it was a fantastic rush gun. If i got in first, just about 4 well-aimed shots to their head killed the first rusher; its even easier to clean the floor if your second to rush.

The reason some of us like the higher delay between shots is because it is a good in between of a semi and an auto. It had higher damage on each shot than the other machine guns, and went extremely straight when click shotted. Also, at close range, you could spray and get the shots right into your enemies. It was a very versatile and unique weapon; and now it is just sinking in with the other autos.

The side-by-side comparison of the AK and the Minimi really scared me; it is freakishly similar and frankly, I don't know why MM did it.

You are telling me nothing new, Ive been aking for a long time.  The truth is, the ak actually does MORE damage because of the increased RoF. And it still shoots straight, even easier than before. they removed the need to click, like in 1.2.1, with a little self bink. instead of thinking the gun is nerfed to all hell, try it out for a little bit. with the slower rof you had to make more shots count, because if you missed a few, that took your damage output down significantly, now with the new ak, you can afford to miss a few shots, and the rof makes up for it.

its still a fantastic gun, use it, learn it, love it.

I liked the old AK from 1.3.1 too. In the new version, I have deserted it for the AUG.

EDIT: Just tried AK again, its really too weak right now. Honestly. I cant kill with it very well. The old version was so much better.
