teams and gosteks.
« on: August 02, 2007, 11:58:44 am »
hi, im makeing a actually pretty good mod that i let my friends see and they like, but i need help. i changed the normal gosteks to look like what i want them to (not revealing so no one steals my idea) but, if you try to play a teamatch, the originall looks comes bakc into play with the color of the team. basically it looks like the originall little dude, with the colors. then i went back and changed them to look exactly like the normal gosteks i made. basically, what i need help with, is when you go into team mode, how to i set it, so the team gostek dudes i made, are the color of the team you picked????

modded gostek dude>>selects team delta>>looks like modded gostek dude, no color change/color green.

what do i have to change???

Okay.. this is really simple...

There are 2 sets of gosteks...

In your gostek folder.. all the files you see in there are for alpha team and charlie team... (also used for all players in deathmatch)

you should also see a folder in there called team 2... these are seperate gostek files for bravo and delta teams.. so if you want them to look the same as the team1 gosteks you made just copy all the files from gostek-gfx to gostek-gfx/team2

in each of the gostek folders there's also another folder named ranny... these are the images with blood on them which are overlayed over the normal gosteks to make it look like the player is all bloody

so you have...

Soldat/Gostek-gfx - Team 1 & 3 gosteks
Soldat/Gostek-gfx/Ranny - Team 1 & 3 blood overlay

Soldat/Gostek-gfx/Team2 - Team 2 & 4 gosteks
Soldat/Gostek-gfx/Team2/Ranny - Team 2 & 4 blood overlay

ok, i see what your saying, adn it makes sence, but ould i have to make doubles of each picture and change the color (triple it in folder 1 for normal deathmatch) for each onejust so each respective one has its own color? becaus ein team 2, there aer only one set of body parts, jsut like in the first folder. and if i wanted, could i jsut make helmets for the colors? because i jsut want a way for players to recognize there teamates, and the way this is comnig out, i realy dont think iw ant to change the colors of the characters. (youll c wha ti mean when ipost my mod). but how would i go in and make helmets of different colors that would go with the corosponding team??? how would i arrange that in the folders?

Those weird names are the names of bodyparts. Klata stands for torso, for example.

Its actually the same stuff in Team2 folder as the 'normal' gosteks, so change em the same way.

It's in Polish... Because MM is Polish.
