Yeah for all who say BattlEye doesn't work, when did you start, like 1.3? It was really bad before that, and even worse when there wasn't a votekick. (I think that is correct) Anyway I haven't seen anyone even get kicked for BattlEye violation for about a month, and I have seen a grand total of one hacker since 1.4, and he was votekicked within 1 minute. So to answer the question, yes BattlEye does really work, but it isn't perfect, but neither are you :)

Existing BE ban time is good, no all BE kicks are for Hacks."Hacker" has after 5 minutes new chance play without hacks.

Another point for all of you is that if a hacker knows that the hack he has is detected by BE, he'll go play in servers that don't have BE enabled.  This is a LARGE part of the reason that server-owners who use BE don't see hackers getting kicked often at all.
