How Long Does A Ban have it's Effect?

Lame enough, I was banned from the Elite Snipe and Slice because someone made stupid false accusations that I was camping/spawning (seriously, does moving around sniping everyone account for that?), and before I was able to claim I wasn't, I got banned.

Does a ban have infinite effect or does it wear off after a week. Because I would hate the fact that I can't go back because some jerk wanted me out for something I didn't do.

If its a votekick its usually no more than a few hours if that....try back in an hour or so.

i find a ban only lasts as long as you have that IP address, which is incredibly silly if you think about it. re-assign yourself a new IP and youre fine. In english - reset your modem

Ban evasion (resetting modem) usually results in you being permanently banned if an admin catches you.

EnEsCe most admins are noobs and just hit /ban (name) without setting any ban time. so getting banned mostly are permanent ban. altough permanent bans goes out after a year.

As of the latest dedicated server, this isn't the case; bans default to 30 days. And permanent bans don't expire after a year, they never expire.

Resetting your modem won't save you if I ban your IP range. Well, this will leave a few innocent poor souls out too but the persistent bad boy will get the message.
