I like Metal Slug. Will I also like Soldat?

I haven't played Metal Slug but if your into 2d games...well you came to the right place, this game has fans from all around the world and players of all ages. Heck I never played a 2d shooter in my life before I played Soldat and the game has stuck with me for years now.

Yes, in some aspects, it is like metal slug. But unlike Metal Slug you can aim in any direction, not just forward, up, and down.

I really don't think soldat has that much in common with metal slug. Metal Slug is all small but insanely powerful weapons. Kinda comic book style. Soldat is a bit more modest and requires more along the lines of aiming.

I was addicted to metal slug until I found Soldat. Once I found Soldat, I never touched metal slug again because I was too busy being addicted to Soldat.

metal slug has guns and all, but it is very very different from soldat. 

Really, i think the best possible comparison i can come up with for this unique game is that it is like worms (armageddon, world party), without the turns, and with unlimited jetpack, and faster pace.

Worms with out the turns.  That's pretty pithy, i think soldat should take out an ad on a worms fan site, use that catch phrase.  Worms without the turns... *walks away repeating it to himself, and convincing himself he's clever*

Well, Metal Slug is pretty different from Soldat, being a run and gun-type shooter. Still, if you enjoy running around blowing stuff up, you'll like Soldat.
Also, I think you'll like the Metal Slug mod. Everyone should check it out too, it's a good mod.

I think Soldat will be your next favourite 2D shoter. Try it out, get some mods for it to spice up the gameplay and looks.
