Why can't I do... anything?

The readme is really unclear, i reviewed it atleast 5-6 times. I know I am supposed to type something but nothing seems to work. Also the controls are posted nowhere, pressing the esc button does not work. What can I do?

Yeah, I have the same problem. When I press esc, there just this red overlay and the game is paused, nothing else. So I have no idea what the buttons are.

EDIT: nvm I am a tard, it's working.

I've figured out how to move the plane, get out of it, pick up the broken gun from the plane I smashed into the big rock and jetpack around a bit. I looked in the readme as for how to add bots or change the map and the commands weren't working, so I figured it was broked and gave up and ated pringles.

OK!! on my computer I need to set the screen to 1152x864 to see all the screen wen you do that and press Esc you will see the top menu (try it).

And for the commands  it's not "\" on my keyboard but press the key where you have (" ' ) on the top and { on the side of the key (it's the second key at right of  "L")  I want to know if it works for you because it works for me.

And to move the plain up=w, down=s, right=d, left=a, shoot= left click, speed the plain to fly=shift (press one time and it start the motor and press a other time to stop the motor) w the plain goes down and s the plain goes up (like in all good flighing game).

eh but when i press ~ the words on the console are colorfull lines...not words when i write a command it appears as lines too not words...

I will play when people actually start posting good about it.
Its like... going from XP to Vista, the makers want you to, but no one wants it.

Space flips the plane. outside of the plane right click jets and you can crouch with s. this is just from pressing random buttons and figuring stuff out that way, you can get out of the plane with f.

Xxypher, you can't say that this is like an XP to Vista thing because CG is an unfinished game.  While some may say that Vista is unfinished, MM has stopped development on CG and is releasing this just so we can see what he has been working on.

Half way during download, it just stopped...
And I can't get it to go past that point

Try going to the Help menu and "Clear Private Data"

uncheck all of the boxes except "cache" (or check them all if you don't mind resetting the other things it lists) and then click "Clear Private Data Now"


Then try downloading again and see if it works.

I clear my private data every other hour...

Gah, every time I load CG, it gets stuck on loading the water texture and my computer freezes. I think I'll stop trying now... but the one time I did get in, all I managed to do was flip the plane and shoot. Lol.

the difference is that Vista is broken and flawed by design, but it is supposed to be considered a complete product.

CG, on the other hand, is nowhere near complete and is being released with that understanding.

Some help from me
Shift = switch on/off the engine
Left mouse buton = fire
g = escape
x = escape + machine gun
w,s = navigates the plain in the vertical line
space = 360 spin
a,d = navigate the pilot
