It is. I had 4.29 last year. This September I'll be technically in eleventh grade, but I'll still have tenth grade English. I started school one year early and skipped sixth grade as well as Algebra I and Biology by taking the summer course and testing into AP Biology. I just finished AP Statistics, and will be in AP Calculus BC in autumn. Right now, I'm taking Pre-calculus, which is mighty irritating. I should be able to get past 4.4 next year, with four AP classes (Calculus BC, Macroeconomics, Chinese Literature, and World History). And I'll have no Physical Education next year, so that's one less 4.0 to worry about. The damn bastards in our neighboring city have AP Music Theory, which is basically a free 5.0, if you have any experience in the classics.

I'm not sure Australian's worry about, or even use, GPA's in there reports. To tell you the truth, I have no idea how it works and I hadn't heard it until today... (I used Google define: to see what it was, it didn't really help. If an A+ is 4... how do you get an average higher than 4?)

GPA is only used over here in university, apparently. So basically, yes, your GPA is higher than mine, except GPA is calculated differently here, so by the time I finish university mine will be higher. I'm pretty sure we use raw marks for most things in NSW.

But why waste your life studying anyway? Bill Gates dropped out of college, and look at him now.
