Again, what should be in the top ten?

Of the countless maps you can choose from, I want all of us to choose only ten maps that deserve to be in the top ten maps.

Not the most downloaded, not the most raved reviews.

Just balanced visuals, gameplay, fps, and style. Waypointing is optional, but shouldn't really be considered, as the maps in the top ten would probably be already played online.

It's nearly impossible to list the best Top Ten maps every made.  There's to many to list.  But I'll try to get my list.  Here's what I came up with.

ctf_Swamp by Soap.  Nice graphics, good layout, and interesting concept.  It was meant to be official in one version, but it was removed because it implied too much pressure on older systems.

Flesh by Viggoloniggo.  Good layout and serves very tactical gameplay.  Visuals are amazing.

inf_Sundance by Chakapoko Maker.  Nice desert theme and great texture.  Gameplay is pretty good, but not the best.

not a great looking map, but a very original concept. its TW but the opposite teams flag is at your playerspawn.. its more like bring the flag, which imo is a very interesting gameplay :)

yes, limbo. the looks may be nice but imo the gameplay is crap. the bunkers are kind of weird, not really easy to enter at points.. the pit in the mid bunker sucks imo (any pit sucks in tw)
also theres too much scenery at somt points where its hard to see wether its polys or scenery.

I dont think pyrenees should be up there just yet... If nothing better comes along, then keep it. It's nice and all, but it's just got an odd feel to it, you know? Its also got nice in-game. Alot of you may disagree (I can't even decide). I think it should stay up unless how ever many better maps come along.
 Avarax is definately the best at making buildings though :P That's for sure.

I played Calypso online and it rules!! Also the graphics, the texture stretching and the theme are god-made....

Well no, Calypso's gameplay is actually quite bad, we had it tested with the MotW team and it didn't leave a very good impression. Visuals are of course brilliant, no doubt.
Also, I don't think ctf_de_celtic deserves being on that list, since it has rather poor gameplay compared to other CS maps like cbble, militia, italy or piranesi. It's only the visiuals that make it stand out.

1. Ctf_Ash, I think it's the only 5 stars map to me. Gameplay very unique and rocking, also look is pretty nice despite lack shading. 5/5
2. Ctf_Cobra, The other default soldat map which has bring something new: "The escape route" (in fact it's basically snakebite but more playable) 4/5
3. Ctf_Scorp, I like the exceptional flag places http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=20647.0 4/5
4. Ctf_Nyx, not maybe new gameplay but layout is pretty exceptional http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=16877.0 4/5

And in addition all the MM maps from 1.1.5

Can't remember/say more maps which have a strong affect on me.

How about not including default maps as a rule then? We know they pwn and stuff so it would be rather pointless to have 10 default maps just listed... if they are default soldat maps then they already are bastardly enough to rule the lists....
