My visit to a church of scientology
« on: February 23, 2008, 05:02:32 pm »
I was passing a church of scientology again today and noticed that they actually had an open day/house. I jumped in with a friend and he got to test the "E-Meter" which worked like crap, since it's really just measuring your electrical resistance anyway.
According to the overly nice lady it measures your thoughts. Yes.

Everybody inside was ridiculously cheery, it was quite creepy.
It was "awesome" that I study. It was "cool" that the friend's still in school.
It was "terrific" that we're going to have to leave now for a birthday, which was true, but also an excuse to get the fuck out of there, as she just said "why not have a seat there".

Did manage to take some pics:

I love how old this must be

No, that dude's not me and no he's not emo either.

Balloons!

I see a Simon there!

Should've taken a picture with the mindwasher lady. Still, pretty rad.

Yeah, we took those pictures secretly and didn't talk any bullshit. I'll be going back there soon enough anyway :)

I'm surprised there wasn't a life size cardboard cutout of Tom Cruise.

Or was there?

There are 9 churches in Germany.

I didn't notice anything when we were upstairs, but then again we were just eager to get out again.

Overly friendly people scare me.
This bus driver that's always way too cheerful just creeps me out. I expect her to go on a killing spree at any moment.

yeah, we went to one in Copenhagen as well. Woah, those guys are so creepy. I had to go to the bathroom, and this lady showed me where it was. When I got out she gave me a freaking scare, 'cause I never thought she would be waiting for me. Then she escorted me back to my class, like some prisonguard or something.

As if they were interresting enough for me to sneak out and spy..
I fucking miss all you cunts!

Amblin and echo_trail has been tainted by the ruinous powers! Sure they sound ok now, but they have Thetans growing inside their bodys, ready to bust from their chests and spread around the whole forums!

Photoshop a stereotypical Arab head onto that John Travolta picture, then go around jihadist websites saying that the Co$ is depicting Muhammad and disrespecting Islam. After that, Anonymous will be free to pick on Myspace/DevArt accounts again.

Actually, maybe we'll let the Anon/Co$ war go on for alot longer...I think it's better that way...

I thought that the CoS had cult status in Germany or something and that it was banned. Or at the very least it wasn't considered a religion.

I actually went into one of their main centers in L.A. for a while, took their completely baseless 'stress test' and had a 'discussion' with an 'associate' (recruiter). She insisted psychiatry was a nazi exocution practice and that Tom Cruise was a perfect saint. I delined their offer for 'free supper' and a 'short film.' It was after that that I heard about Xenu.
