I attend grammar school, last grade, and ignorance is all around me. Well, good for them. Ignorance is bliss.
The earlier Gew. 98, or Infanteriegewehr M.98 was not seen as often in WWI as a later version made in 1908, the Kar 98AZ of 1908, later called the Kar 98a. The next version, Kar 98b, was not designed until 1923.Unfortunately Mangled neglected the fact that the M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle, aka BAR, was designed in 1917, 6 years too late to see action at all in WWI. Along Mangled's notes, though, the P in MP18 also needs to be capitalized since P stands for pistole in Maschinenpistole.
