What program to use to rec. soldat?

I have searched for years for a FREE game recorder that has good quality, not that shit from fraps, hypercam and zdsoft. please tell me if u know any of thease! ???

that and it's horrible, no compression, just fills your hard drive with a 5 gigabyte file.

That's what Virtual Dub is for, or any other video editing program.

It's deliberately uncompressed; the compression process takes time and would lag your game into an unplayable state.

Fraps isn't completely free, try http://taksi.sourceforge.net/

One of the main problems with taksi is it doesn't record sound, and for all intents it's a dead project as it hasn't been worked on for almost 2 years. Which is why I bought FRAPS, even though I did try out taksi.

Btw, you can always use another software to record sound, then you sync it with any video editor. That's how it's usually done in the movies!

*sigh* i tried fraps once again, and it did'nt work this time either. it seems the fps rate is in 60 in the start but then it falls down to 7! and my media player can't even play the video i have recorded. help?

umm i use fast cap pro (ya i know the name of it is weird) i just change the settings to use thesame framerate as the game and it works awesomely great!
it isnt free tho :(
but theres alot of fake cdkeys out there...

There's a slightly older, but free version of Fraps that allows unlimited recording, although without sound. Might wanna give that a try if you're cheap and still wanna get away with it legally.
