Well I did acid2 test on firefox, and I had blue nose on mouseover too.

I'm having a hard decision between safari and firefox, but then again they are just browsers so it doesn't really matter.  As long as you don't use IE browser, right?

bja888, I have ClearType enabled.  So that screenshot shows what IE7 and Safari looks like with ClearType enabled.  And Clearly, they are not the same.

They cleary aren't the same, safari gives me a headache because of the blur and IE is giving me a headache because it reminds me of school.

Firefox3 beta 4 is great on resources, it beats out every other common browser.  If you want firefox but are tired of the resource issues, get firefox 3 beta and you'll be very, very happy ;)

Yeah, I just upgraded to Ubuntu Hardy which came with Firefox 3 Beta 4. It's fast as feck, plus pretty sexy.

As for safari, I couldn't keep the firefox on my friend's XP Home computer from crashing so I gave him safari, which he loves. It isn't too bad, I just prefer firefox.

Ok, the final word.

Without cleartype....

With...

Clearly the playing field is not even.

Even things up a little...

Safari is blurry. Text smoothing built into the OS is always better than that of a 3rd party app. Not to mention the interface is slow as bollocks.
