computer help
« on: July 24, 2006, 12:19:25 am »
sup all - I have a very unique situation which I don't want to have to explain. I need to actually use less pixels than my monitor has. I don't want to decrease the resolution, I just want to not use pixels on the right and below - so basically take 1280x1024 pixel lcd monitor and only use the first 1024x768 pixels - not stretching the image. So techincally it has the same "resolution" meaning same amount of pixels per inch but just have unused pixels.

hope you understand  :-\...
Can't think of anything original to put here...

I don't think it can be done, and if it can be done it would have to be on a lower resolution since you are using less "area"
And can you explain why you want it smaller :p
